Scheduling in Weight Loss

One of the hardest things for me to do is exercise. It’s not really that I hate it, although we’ll never be good friends. It’s actually that I hate the way I feel while i’m doing it and after I”m done… usually a few days after i’m done. So scheduling in exercise is not the easiest thing for me to do. I”m also not really keen on the idea of exercising in front of people. Although I did join curves a couple of years ago and that was ok. Probably because it was mostly other women just like me and no one cared what the others looked like. I wouldn’t mind going to curves again, but right now, that is not in my budget. So I’m stuck with doing it at home. Then I have to figure out WHEN i’m going to do it at home and WHERE i’m going to do it at home.
Usually my boyfriend, ST, is good about leaving me alone. My sons however are a different matter all together. I’ve been thinking about making them exercise with me, since they refuse to go outside unless threatened with bodily harm. But they are already too skinny and have WAY too much energy. So I think I”ll just do it by myself.
I did procure a video, “Walking Away the Pounds”. of course I haven’t even turned it on once yet. Typical me. I have a ton of exercise dvd’s and video’s that have only seen the television maybe once since opening! LOL! I’m sure… no I hope I”m not alone in that particular quirk. What I liked about the idea of “Walk Away the Pounds” is that you’ll be walking a mile in 10 minutes. I really can’t do any type of exercise for much longer than that. Actually 10 minutes is probably pushing it a bit too much. But I’m going to try.
So the first thing I have to do is schedule in the exercise. That’s what I’m going to try to do this weekend, is figure out what I can and can’t do during the day and when.

I know you say you do not like other people watching but it really does help if you exercise with someone. If you do at the same time each day and work together, you can really help eachother stick to it.

I do not generally post to weblogs however I liked your post so I was stimulated to do so. Straying off the subject slightly, what are your thoughts concerning walking? Which is generally being put forward as the best exercise to burn fat.
